Had he merely got a palm to it Pelé would have knocked in the rebound. But he did better. Somehow, and again impossibly, he turned the ball upward, and it rose as if there were an invisible forcefield surrounding the goal. And then it was over the bar and gone and Banks was up on his feet again.
